Opened in 1965, the Mont Blanc Tunnel stretches over 11 kilometers and was, for many years, the longest road tunnel in the world. Today, it remains one of Europe’s most significant infrastructure works, with annual traffic exceeding 2 million vehicles—30% of which are heavy goods vehicles.
