Cresco provided the complete civil engineering design for the SMS smart beam mill, a cutting-edge industrial facility spanning over 45,000 square meters. The project involved complex foundations, structural elements, and extensive documentation.

Solid Foundations for Smart Steel

Cresco was responsible for the full civil works design of the SMS smart beam mill, a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the production of smart beams. The scope of work included the design of piled foundations and reinforced concrete (RC) foundations for both primary and secondary equipment, as well as the foundations for the water treatment plant (WTP) basin. Additionally, Cresco designed various auxiliary steel structures to support the facility’s infrastructure.

Covering a total surface area of over 45,000 square meters, the project required a significant design effort. More than 800 detailed RC drawings were produced to support the construction and ensure the structural reliability of the mill.
